Hi, I’m Olivia. The fact that you’re reading this means we already have something in common: we both love sleep. It wasn’t until I had my first child that I realised how crucial sleep is, not only for myself, but for the well-being of my entire family.

From birth, my daughter had trouble sleeping. At around 4 months, she took the sleeplessness to the next level; for months, I had less than 2 hours of consecutive sleep night after night, and naps were spent stuck beneath a sleeping baby, scared to move.

I didn’t know what to do. I asked everyone - friends, family, health visitors, even my GP! And everyone had different advice. Bed sharing, feeding to sleep, leaving my baby to cry…I tried it all, but it just left both me and my baby feeling confused and upset. What’s more, it started to impact upon my relationship.

In a sleep deprived haze, I came across a recommendation for Karen on Facebook, written by another mum who had been through exactly the same ordeal with her baby - and had come out the other side! I typed that email so fast there was smoke coming off the keyboard!

Within a matter of weeks, my life had been transformed. I could place my daughter in her cot, awake, and she would smile at me. I could leave her in her room knowing that she would be soundly asleep within minutes.

Even better, it wasn’t just me who had to be responsible for night times anymore. My husband could do it. Even grandparents could do it, leaving mum and dad to have our first date night in over a year!

After my year of sleep deprivation, I knew I had to help other parents going through the same trauma and confusion, which is exactly why I’ve undertaken the training to become a fully certified sleep consultant. I called upon Olivia’s help for my 9 month old who was waking every few hours through the night, and who could only be fed to sleep. I had returned to work and with a two year old as well I was shattered.

Olivia talked through my situation and worked out an initial plan to try. She was very supportive and able to adapt the plan to ensure it fit our work/life patterns.

My daughter responded well to it and a small change to evening feed schedule seemed to make the biggest different in a few days. My daughter can now be put down awake for her naps and bedtime and is frequently sleeping through the night.

I am over the moon; the results from working with Olivia far exceeded my expectations.

I have spent eight months with my baby sleeping on me, or in the car, or in the pram, or in her bouncer – basically anywhere but in her cot. She would fight naps for hours and become so overtired it was exhausting for both of us. On a typical day she would sleep for a total of an hour.

From Day 1 of following the Sleep Plan Olivia designed for us, she was sleeping in her cot. I was astonished. As the Sleep Plan progressed my little girl learned to fall asleep quickly and easily. She now sleeps twice a day, at set times for between 2 and 3 hours combined. The first few days I was in a state of disbelief and I hovered nearby waiting for her to wake up. Now I am confident she will stay asleep and should she wake in less than an hour, re-settle herself.

I now have a foreign thing to new mum's known as “free time”!

Bedtime has also greatly improved, I no longer have to sit and wait for my little darling to fall asleep, and fear she will awake just as I am busy doing something. I can leave her room and go and eat dinner at a sensible time and also have some down time with my husband. All three of us are happier and getting more sleep.

It was lovely having regular calls with Olivia during the first week, it felt like having a personal cheerleader. I was unsure how email support in the second week would work, but by this time the routine had become established and it was great way for me to pose my (many) “what if” questions and I have the responses to refer back to. I cannot thank her enough for all the help and support.

One-to-One Sleep Solutions Package
This is the most popular package, and consists of:-

  • A preliminary evaluation. This is a comprehensive questionnaire about your child’s sleep habits and routines that you’ll fill out prior to our meeting. (Having this information in advance helps us make the most of our time together).

  • A private, 90 minute consultation in the comfort of your own home, or via Skype/FaceTime or telephone, where we’ll discuss strategies, troubleshoot possible problems and learn how to address bedtime, naptime, nightwakings or any other specific issues you might be dealing with.

  • A detailed, fully customized sleep plan, that I will prepare for you after the conclusion of our meeting.

  • Five follow-up telephone calls during the first week following the consultation. These follow-up calls last about 15 minutes, and we’ll use this time to deal with any setbacks you might be having or answer any general questions.

  • One week of e-mail support. After your four follow-up telephone calls have been used, you still have an additional week of e-mail support where you can email me once daily, excluding Sundays I will always aim to reply to your queries within one working day.

The total cost for the One-to-One Sleep Solutions package for a baby or toddler in a cot is £200 by Skype/Facetime/Phone. If your child is in a bed this package is £215 due to the complexity of the plan. 

Face to face consultations are available within the of Isle Of Man  - At times I am also able to cover Shropshire and Cheshire. 
New-born – Get it right from the Start Package
This is a comprehensive training plan helping parents of new-borns train their little ones to have fabulous sleep skills from a very young age and can be implemented from day one! Getting an early start in establishing healthy sleep habits is a huge advantage for both babies and their parents. With this package, you will learn everything you need to teach your baby to be an independent sleeper right from the beginning. It is a fantastic gift package for new parents too and consultations can take place before or after the baby has arrived. (gift certificates available and can be posted direct to the lucky couple if required) It consists of:-

  • A private 60 minute telephone or in-home consultation. We will discuss how to establish a healthy sleep plan for your new-born, discussing sleep needs, schedules for feeding, naps and bedtime, how to help teach your baby the difference between day and night, creating the right sleeping environment, strategies to encourage sleep, when to expect your baby to be sleeping longer stretches, and common sleep issues that can be easily avoided.

  • A detailed sleep plan. If you are expecting, the gentle, caring techniques in your sleep plan will teach you how to create an independent sleeper from day one, and will give you a flexible guide to quickly bring some routine, when baby arrives, to a time of your lives which can otherwise become quite overwhelming. If you baby has already arrived, your sleep plan will be fully customized for your family.

  • One follow-up phone call. If you are following a sleep plan from the beginning then you will find your baby is naturally developing wonderful independent sleep skills, you may find you have some questions so we will schedule a telephone call within 2 weeks of the baby’s birth just in case (if you are expecting) or within 2 weeks of consultation (if you already have your baby at home). These calls typically last about 15 minutes.

  • Two follow-up e-mails I will give you my personal email address so you can email me on two occasions with any questions or concerns any time within the first 3 months of your baby’s birth or our consultation. After 3 months you can purchase another week of email support at any time should you need it .

The total cost for the New-born – Get it right from the Start Package is £125 By Skype/Facetime/Phone

The Refresher
It is not uncommon for babies and toddlers who have been taught to be great sleepers to ‘test the boundaries’ from time to time. This option is for parents who have met with me in the past, but are looking for a ‘refresher’. This is a popular option for past clients who have recently had a new baby – or who are expecting in the near future. It consists of:-

  • A private, 60 minute consultation, usually by phone or by Skype, during which we’ll use to discuss any particular challenges you are having with your child. Since we’ve already worked together, a full hour is usually more than enough time to cover all your questions and concerns.

  • Optional 2x follow-up emails that you can use to send me any additional questions that might come up as you get things back on track. I’ll aim to respond to your email within one day.

The total cost for the Refresher Package 60 minute consultation is £95, with 2x optional emails £125
