So where do I begin? 
Had my baby Theo in the lockdown last May everything was going well apart from his sleep he was very very clingy and never slept for more than two hours at night he literally was constantly awake and just Kat napping through out the day it was exhausting. My little superstar has absolutely smashed his sleep training. ??? I never had to do any form of sleep training with Harry, he was a little angel when it came to bedtime (until we decided to have another!?) 

 

Louie on the other hand, hasn’t been as settled when it came to sleeping. At 7 months, he was mainly in our bedroom still despite efforts to move him to his own room. Feeding for most of the night. Not being put down in either his cot or next to me. This called for a very tired mummy! With my returning to night shifts imminent I called on Fleur, I had heard she was amazing at what she does- and yup they were right, she is! Night 2 of sleep training he slept in his own room for 10 hours!! Unheard of! Tonight is night 3, he’s in his own bed & asleep already. Also unheard of. Can’t thank Fleur enough for her advice.

If any of you are having any difficulties getting your little ones to go to sleep at a reasonable time each night, or difficulty establishing a good routine, please contact Fleur Desiree Smeed. We all know how important a good night’s sleep is for our children’s well-being, emotionally and physically. She put together a personalised plan for my daughter, who has always been a difficult one to get to bed. It was always a battle and over the Xmas holidays I found myself being lazy letting her fall asleep when she got tired because I was so tired of the constant bedtime battle with her??? Fleur put me a plan together with a routine to stick to each night. The first two nights were really really hard, but I stuck to it knowing it was for the best for her and since then, Olivia’s asked me each evening “when are we starting my routine?” She loves it! It’s made me realise even more how much children thrive on a routine that we stick to! I’ve had no opposition to bath time, reading or bedtime now since night 3 and her behaviour during the day has totally changed for the better! I can’t thank Fleur enough for all her help and endless support getting our 4 year daughter to sleep through the night.

Before we decided to contact Fleur, things had got progressively worse. Our daughter was not only going to sleep late and really pushing boundaries at bedtime but also waking up 3/4 times in the night and would not go back to sleep unless I got into bed with her / cuddled her to sleep.

I actually couldn’t believe that we had come to this - I think we were so tired and it was anything for an easier life but we were all getting more tired and it was affecting our work and moods generally. The impact on our family was clear to see and we just wanted to all sleep ... we were getting a bit desperate thinking back.

Anyway, I contacted Fleur and she really did her homework. We had to complete a detailed form so Fleur could work out a sleeping plan for us.

Within 24 hours I had an amazing sleep plan and following a consultation with Fleur, my husband and I knew what we had to do to help our daughter develop better / healthier sleep patterns.

I actually felt relieved and excited when I read through the sleep plan.

My husband and I followed it (you both have to be on the same page or it won’t work). The clock worked miracles (and still does - so great investment). The plan slowly and gently began to work and I actually can’t believe where we are now to where we were when we first contacted Fleur .

Our daughter now goes to bed after her bath / book without major push back and sleeps through till the morning.

I can’t thank Fleur enough - so kind, patient , supportive , non judgmental and is just so eager to help (and totally understands). She was always at the end of the text/ phone and I felt truly supported at each step along the way.

I would thoroughly recommend Fleur if your baby / child is a poor sleeper. Honestly, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain! It will change your life - I never realised how important sleep was!

A friend told me about the support Fleur could give us concerning Savannah's sleep and I decided to give it a try. I haven’t read anything about baby sleep and so far had been getting through each night by giving Savannah milk to go to sleep, and therefore was being woken 2-3 times a night for more milk. This also meant she was having nappy changes too which would also disturbed her.

 

Savannah would go to bed around 8.30 in the evening and would go straight to sleep with milk and Ewan the lullaby sheep. She also has a white/yellow night light which was dimmed low. She would have a bath every other day and after bath would come downstairs before heading up to bed on her terms  (when she looked tired or said ‘milk time’).

 

Savannah was waking approx. every 4 hours for more milk and we found it too distressing to ignore her. We knew we needed to stop this as it was having an impact on her meals in the day and also because our day wouldn’t really start until 9.30, Savannah wouldn’t be interested in breakfast much and would often go for a nap having had no lunch as she would refuse most of it as she knew she would have a bottle to sleep with. It was becoming a cycle of not eating much and we were starting to get a fussy toddler.  On top of this we were both tired, but I’m the person at home with Savannah so I was the one suffering with lack of sleep.

 

When I contacted Fleur one of the first things she asked was ‘how are you feeling about all the changes I'm proposing’ and also we chatted about how tired I was. She was really empathetic and I instantly warmed to her. Fleur gave us a personalised plan for Savannah based on her individual needs. We spoke regularly about how it was all going and Fleur was flexible when needed. She listened to our concerns and was supported us throughout. I felt I could be honest with Fleur instantly and could be very open with her however I knew that changing things for Savannah would mean that there would be confusion for Savannah and that she would try and twist my arm to her old routine, but I was very surprised how quickly she adapted. After day 3 Savannah didn’t ask for milk and by day 4 she was sleeping through the night! This has remained and we have even been able to stay at my parents house after 2 weeks and Savannah has stuck to her new sleep regime. I’m shocked at the progress she has made in such a short time.

 

I feel that I will recommend Fleur to everyone I meet who has issues with their child sleeping. I appreciate that there will be hurdles in the future and I don’t expect Savannah to sleep through each night now until she’s 18 however she is able to settle herself and I feel like we all have the skills to help make the process as simple and painless as possible.

 

Now Savannah has a better routine, she’s in bed by 7.30, up at 7am. It means we have an evening together child free and also most importantly Savannah’s days are more fulfilled. She is hungrier and open to trying new foods and now knows the routine herself so will say ‘book time’ and knows what to expect.

 

There are no words that describe how LIFE CHANGING this has all been for us! We can’t thank Fleur enough and are eternally grateful for the support and strength she has given us. We have more confidence as parents and feel so much more refreshed by from having full sleep. Before using Fleur I wouldn’t go to bed until 11.30 ish as I knew she would be up so there would be no point. Life was very different and I was tired. Now we are in a better pattern and it's the BEST thing we have done for Savannah and for us!

Packages

One-to-One Sleep Solutions Package
This is the most popular package, and consists of:-

  • A preliminary evaluation. This is a comprehensive questionnaire about your child’s sleep habits and routines that you’ll fill out prior to our meeting. (Having this information in advance helps us make the most of our time together).

  • A private, 90 minute consultation in the comfort of your own home, or via Skype/FaceTime or telephone, where we’ll discuss strategies, troubleshoot possible problems and learn how to address bedtime, naptime, nightwakings or any other specific issues you might be dealing with.

  • A detailed, fully customized sleep plan, that I will prepare for you after the conclusion of our meeting.

  • Four follow-up telephone calls during the first week following the consultation. These follow-up calls last about 15 minutes, and we’ll use this time to deal with any setbacks you might be having or answer any general questions.

  • One week of e-mail support. After your five follow-up telephone calls have been used, you still have an additional week of e-mail support where you can email me once daily, excluding Sundays I will always aim to reply to your queries within one working day.


The total cost for the One-to-One Sleep Solutions package for a baby or toddler in a cot is £245 by Zoom or on the phone. If your child is in a bed this package is £265.

New-born – Get it right from the Start Package
This is a comprehensive training plan helping parents of new-borns train their little ones to have fabulous sleep skills from a very young age and can be implemented from day one! Getting an early start in establishing healthy sleep habits is a huge advantage for both babies and their parents. With this package, you will learn everything you need to teach your baby to be an independent sleeper right from the beginning. It is a fantastic gift package for new parents too and consultations can take place before or after the baby has arrived. (gift certificates available and can be posted direct to the lucky couple if required) It consists of:-

  • A private 60 minute telephone or in-home consultation. We will discuss how to establish a healthy sleep plan for your new-born, discussing sleep needs, schedules for feeding, naps and bedtime, how to help teach your baby the difference between day and night, creating the right sleeping environment, strategies to encourage sleep, when to expect your baby to be sleeping longer stretches, and common sleep issues that can be easily avoided.

  • A detailed sleep plan. If you are expecting, the gentle, caring techniques in your sleep plan will teach you how to create an independent sleeper from day one, and will give you a flexible guide to quickly bring some routine, when baby arrives, to a time of your lives which can otherwise become quite overwhelming. If you baby has already arrived, your sleep plan will be fully customized for your family.

  • One follow-up phone call. If you are following a sleep plan from the beginning then you will find your baby is naturally developing wonderful independent sleep skills, you may find you have some questions so we will schedule a telephone call within 2 weeks of the baby’s birth just in case (if you are expecting) or within 2 weeks of consultation (if you already have your baby at home). These calls typically last about 15 minutes.

  • Two follow-up e-mails I will give you my personal email address so you can email me on two occasions with any questions or concerns any time within the first 3 months of your baby’s birth or our consultation. After 3 months you can purchase another week of email support at any time should you need it .


The total cost for the New-born – Get it right from the Start Package is £125

The Refresher
It is not uncommon for babies and toddlers who have been taught to be great sleepers to ‘test the boundaries’ from time to time. This option is for parents who have met with me in the past, but are looking for a ‘refresher’. This is a popular option for past clients who have recently had a new baby – or who are expecting in the near future. It consists of:-

  • A private, 60 minute consultation, usually by phone or by Skype, during which we’ll use to discuss any particular challenges you are having with your child. Since we’ve already worked together, a full hour is usually more than enough time to cover all your questions and concerns.

  • Optional 2x follow-up emails that you can use to send me any additional questions that might come up as you get things back on track. I’ll aim to respond to your email within one day.


The total cost for the Refresher Package 60 minute consultation for a baby or toddler in a cot is £95 by Zoom or on the phone. If you require 2x optional emails it is £125.

The Overnight
This personal support package is for those who want me at your home. Available within a 30 mile radius of Waterlooville, Hampshire. Please enquire with your specific address.
This consists of:

  • A preliminary evaluation This is a comprehensive questionnaire about your child’s sleep habits and routines that you’ll complete prior to our meeting. (Having this information in advance helps us make the most of our time together.)

  • 15 minute phone consultation to discuss details of the overnight support- time,requirements etc.

  • Private In-Home/Overnight Support I will join you prior to your child’s recommended bedtime and stay overnight until 7:00 am the next morning. The consultation will take place in the comfort of your home and we will begin your journey to great sleep together.

  • A detailed, fully customized sleep plan This will be prepared for you after our consultation and after the nights stay so you have your own personalized plan to help guide you through the upcoming nights.

  • Four follow-up telephone calls Four phone calls, typically lasting 15 minutes, can be scheduled for the first week following the consultation. We’ll use this time to deal with any setbacks you might be having or answer any general questions.

  • One week of e-mail support After your four follow-up telephone calls have been used, you still have an additional week of e-mail support if any questions arise. You will have my private e-mail address and I’ll respond to your emails within 1 business day


The total cost of the Overnight Package is £895. Available within a 30 mile radius of Waterlooville, Hampshire. Please enquire with your specific address.
